The port of Greenock is the nearest cruise terminal to the city of Glasgow on Scotland’s west coast.

Often billed simply as Glasgow in destination guides for cruise ships, the port is hugely popular is many of the world’s biggest cruise lines as a stopping point but unfortunately there is only a limited amount of cruise lines that start cruises at the port.

Whilst you may see some of the world’s biggest and newest cruises ships stopping off at Greenock on tours of the British Isles or on cruises to Iceland, the majority of cruises that operate from the port are on small to medium sized ships.

Cruise Lines

There is only a limited amount of cruise lines operating out of the port of Greenock including the local favourite Hebridean Cruise Line offering cruises through the western isles of Scotland.

Destinations

Cruises on offer from Glasgow (Greenock) offering a limited range of destinations with the most popular including the Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe and cruises around the British Isles.

Location

Port Greenock is located on the River Clyde to the west of the city of Glasgow and just on the outskirts of the town centre.

Terminals

There is a large, modern cruise terminal named Ocean Terminal, at Greenock offering all you need to start your holiday in comfort.

Parking

There is long stay car parking near to Ocean Terminal in Greenock.

Transport

Glasgow is around 45 minutes from the centre of Glasgow via road and around 1 hour by rail to the nearby. Both Greenock and Greenock West train stations are a short taxi rides from the terminal whilst Glasgow Airport is around a 30 minute taxi ride.
