Hull Cruise Port

Hull Cruise Port
Whilst there are major plans to improve the cruise facilities at the Port of Hull on the River Humber, those currently on offer are not up to scratch with most shared with frequent ferry services to the continent.

Unfortunately whilst that does mean that the future looks bright for cruise holidaymakers, the present isn’t as good with only a small number of cruise ships stopping a Hull and even fewer using the port as a starting or ending port.

The port is a good option for those living in East Yorkshire or in Northern Lincolnshire and who prefer a more traditional style of cruise holiday as it tends to be smaller and older vessels operating out of Hull.

Cruise Lines

From time to time cruise ships from smaller operators will call into Hull but the line with the most scheduled services are local company Cruise and Maritime.

Destinations

Just as the choice of ships and lines operating out of Hull is limited, the choice of locations is limited with only Northern Europe featuring regularly on schedules with Iceland, Norway and the Baltic popular destinations.

Location

The location of the cruise port in Hull is at the King George Dock, which is also home to the ferry terminals at Hull.

The port is near to the city centre and sits on the River Humber around 20 miles from the North Sea.

Terminals

Cruise passengers currently use the facilities built for ferry passengers so the facilities are limited.

Parking

Passengers can use the parking facilities for the ferry services from the port.

Transport

The port of Hull is easily reached from the M62 and from the Humber Bridge for those coming from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire via road whilst the city’s main train station is just a short taxi ride from the port.
